Dubrovnik- day one

It was a rainy day when we arrived in Dubrovnik. We waited in airport terminal while chris dashed across the parking lot to pick up the rental car.

I saw this signage on the glass doors of the airport terminal -

So in case you want to wear your bikini, bring your dog or eat ice cream at the airport in Dubrovnik- sorry, that's not allowed!

This will be our chariot for the next few days. It's a tight squeeze but it fit all of us and our luggage! Chris drove the windy roads into Dubrovnik and the view of the 

Ocean would have been amazing if it weren't for the rain.

Our hotel overlooks the sea and it it is gorgeous!

The first thing that happened as we were unloading the luggage from the car, was that Sophia wandered over to check out a fountain and fell in, wearing her purple ugg boots. On the bright side, only one got wet. On the down side, it is soaking wet and we have absolutely no way to get it dry!

As it is not the high season, we have a ridiculously amazing hotel room at an outstanding price. We basically have a two bedroom, three bathroom apartment with multiple balconies and a hot tub on the balcony. We are going to ask about getting it working today! There are outdoor pools but we have only used the indoor pool so far.

We woke up after a restful night's sleep to find the girls watching cartoons in Croatian. Olivia informed me it was the story of Cinderella but the fairy godmother smother was a tree.
